High performance firefighting pumps |
|
Firefighting pumps are used in extreme situations and should deliver the expected pressure and flow, . Failure to perform can literally be a matter of life and death, so the pumps you use must be manufactured to the very highest standards. GAAM Emergency Products offers three key high performance pumpsets, providing cost-effective, reliable solutions for an array of firefighting situations. The MK450 diesel powered pump enables firefighters to select pressure or volume mode, or operate both simultaneously. Choosing the pressure mode activates two booster hose reels at up to 600 l/min total flow at 800 kPa or 125 l/min at 2000 kPa. Opting for the volume mode allows a flow rate of up to 3000 l/min at 700 kPa to be achieved. Key features include heat-treated alloy pump casings; a four-position discharge outlet for either volume or pressure stage; hydraulically balanced bronze impellers; radial loads balanced by utilising double volute in the first stage; high performance metal bellows, mechanical seal and carbon ceramic faces; heavy duty replaceable throttle/bearing and shaft sleeve bushes, stainless steel shaft and replaceable bronze wear rings. Measuring 610mm in width, 1350mm in length and 820mm high, the pump weighs 490kg and is close coupled and fixed rigidly to the engine. The pump can also include a manual or electric priming system as well as foam system. Another diesel option in the range is the MK300 diesel powered pump, which is a high performance pump ideal for village protection and provides high flow rates and pressures in order to meet fire ground requirements. The MK300 pump is one of the most reliable firefighting pumpsets currently used in Australia and is a powerful, low maintenance pump offering pressures up to 1580 kPa and flow rates to 1400 l/min. 1040mm x 600mm x 800mm and weighing just 318kg, the GAAM MK300 pump features hydraulically balanced bronze impellers; a mechanical seal; replaceable bronze wear rings; a four-position discharge outlet; a lightweight aluminium alloy body and direct close coupled to engine. The MK125 petrol powered pump completes the range and is a portable unit for firefighters on the move. The pumpset provides flow rates up to 500 litres per bronze impeller minute and pressures up to 1145 kPa. A cost-effective and durable solution, this compact pump features hydraulically balanced bronze impeller; stainless steel shaft; mechanical self adjusting; an instruments package; aluminium alloy body and cast iron body. All three pumps can be fitted with a variety of optional extras including alternative engines in order to achieve different pressures, pump charge positions and instrumentation. |
